Dr. Jim Anderson Delivers the Keynote At ProductCamp Chicago

On Saturday, June 19th, 2010, Dr. Jim Anderson delivered the opening keynote address for the first ever ProductCamp Chicago gathering of Product Managers.

In attendance were over 80 product managers from both Chicago and the surrounding areas. This ProductCamp meeting was based on the format that has been used at other ProductCamps in other locations all around the world.

Dr. Anderson’s keynote address was titled “How The Butterfly Effect Will Change Everything For Product Managers”. In this speech he detailed the types of changes that product managers are experiencing right now in dealing with their customers. Using a combination of personal stories and market trends, he showed that how product managers interact with their customers is going to have to change.

Included in his speech, Dr. Anderson identified three long-term skills that all product managers are going to have to develop. Additionally, he showed them what changes they needed to make immediately in order to make sure that their product management careers not only survive, but also thrive.
